Step One: The Implant is Positioned

The first thing Dr. Sowell will do is to place the implant piece directly into your jawbone.  This is done to mirror how real tooth roots are positioned.  Once placed, it will stay there from three to six months, giving your bones the opportunity to grow around it.  That will ensure that it stays in place.
